AV Project Coordinator

AV Project Coordinator (closes July 26 at 11:59 PM MDT)

The University of Wyoming is seeking an organized, driven, and energetic AV Project Coordinator to wrangle dozens of simultaneous integration projects.

UW is embarking on a multi-year plan to modernize and streamline its conferencing and presentation spaces and needs your help to develop processes and determine methods of success.  You’ll meet with campus clients, identify project scope, create estimates, and then lead a team of eager technicians and students to ensure those projects are implemented appropriately and on time.

Have you ever looked behind an equipment rack and wondered “who the heck wired this?” Have you ever reviewed a bill of materials and really wanted to share some choice words with the engineer who specified the gear?  Do you want to train and run your own crew to tackle a wide range of integration and repair projects?  Are you sick of having to re-design systems in the field to make them work and really wish things were better coordinated earlier?   Then read on because this position has your name written all over it!

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to move from private industry or commercial AV integration into higher education with outstanding benefits and work-life balance. You’ll enjoy generous retirement contributions, plentiful vacation and sick leave, more than 10 university holidays, heavily discounted medical, dental, and vision benefits, tuition waivers to continue your education, and plenty of opportunities for industry training.  Oh, and did we mention that it’s only in the rarest occasions when you’ll work into the evenings or over a weekend?  Like “count on one hand” rare?

So, what do you say?  Want to start on a new adventure in wild and wonderful Wyoming?
