LEXINGTON, KY. (October 19, 2022) - The leading association of technologists in higher education is now Educational Technology Collaborative (ETC). The association has connected information technology, audio visual, library and media professionals at institutions of higher learning since 1974, previously under the name Consortium of College and University Media Centers.

OUR MISSION

The mission of ETC is to provide leadership and a forum for information exchange to the providers of media content, academic technology, and support for quality teaching and learning at institutions of higher education. To learn more about ETC's mission, click here.

The Benefits of Membership

ETC primarily offers membership to any institution of higher education with support units for media, instruction, presentation, or information technologies as well as firms and corporations whose business is in support of the purposes and objectives of ETC. Retiree and student membership rates are also available. 

Members will receive various networking opportunities to connect with other professionals in their field including access to member pricing at yearly conferences and a member listserv. Get Involved! ETC Volunteer Opportunities

ETC is an organization that runs on the leadership and contributions of its members. Volunteering with ETC is a great way to give back to the organization, contribute to our professional field, meet some great people, and grow your own resume.

Below you will find FAQ’s specific to three possible areas of volunteerism within ETC: the Board of Directors, committees, and task forces. However, there are opportunities to be involved and contribute with ETC in many other ways, through participation in the annual conference, connecting as a mentor or collaborator with other ETC members, or just answering a post on the listserv.

Elections Information (October 2022)
We are currently seeking nominations for the Board of Directors positions listed below. Nominations will be accepted until November 15th. The election slate will be announced November 30th and voting will close Dec. 9th. Terms for these positions will begin July 1, 2023.

  • President-Elect
  • Treasurer
  • 2 - Institutional Directors
  • 1 - Corporate Director

Any member of ETC may nominate an individual, to serve on the Board of Directors. Also, any member may self-nominate for a position on the Board of Directors.
