Now Accepting Nominations for 2019-2020 Board of Directors

CCUMC is seeking nominations for our 2019-2020 Board of Directors election. Any member of CCUMC may nominate an individual, with that person's permission, to serve on the Board of Directors, and any member may self-nominate for a position on the Board of Directors.

Anyone wishing to submit a nomination must submit the form below by:

Friday, September 14th at 5pm CST.

Online voting will begin October 3rd and end October 24th.



Available Positions

President-Elect (job description) - three year commitment (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2022)
Treasurer (job description) - two year commitment (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2021)
2 - Institutional Directors (job description) - two year commitment (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2021)
1 - Corporate Director (job description) - two year commitment (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2021)

Eligibility

The Board of Directors shall be members in good standing and shall satisfy the requirements of the office held. In addition:

  • The elected officers shall be Institutional, Corporate, or Life members in good standing.
  • No member shall hold more than one office at a time.
  • No member shall be eligible to serve more than two consecutive terms in the same office.
  • No more than two elected officers shall be affiliated with the same institution.
  • No more than one elected officer may be from the same corporate organization.

Duties

The Board of Directors duties include:

  • Shall have general supervision of the affairs of CCUMC
  • Fix the time and place of meetings
  • Make recommendations to the membership of CCUMC
  • Designate the site of the Executive Office of CCUMC
  • Appoint the Executive Director
  • Shall perform such other duties as are specified in the Bylaws
  • May secure legal counsel, and establish, govern, and place funds in a foundation
  • Shall be subject to the orders of CCUMC
  • None of their acts shall conflict with action taken by CCUMC.

Board Directors are expected to participate on CCUMC committees and task forces as appointed by the President, assist at the annual conference, and attend all Board meetings. 

Term begins July 1st and ends on June 30th.

Meetings

The Board of Directors meet in person three times a year (spring, summer and fall). They also meet once a month, electronically.
