CCUMC Leader
PURPOSE:
The Leader shall serve as the association's newsletter and have as its purpose to report news, information, and events of the CCUMC and its members in a timely fashion. It does not contain paid advertising or ad-like announcements, with the exception of notices for items available for sale from the Executive Office.
FREQUENCY:
The Leader shall be published a minimum of three times a year: (fall, winter, spring). In regular issues, no news item should be longer than one page. Depending on the issue, the Leader may be as few as four pages.
CONTENTS:
- president's column, which is a vehicle to share decisions made at board meetings as well as general information
- executive director's report
- editor's column
- election results
- updates on committee/task force/interest group/liaison activities
- timely surveys on topics of interest to the membership, developed in collaboration with interest group chairs, the editor-in-chief, or others as appropriate
- conference announcements (short and in paragraph style--this is not the primary vehicle to use for conference promotion)
- list of new members
- awards announcements and recipients
- information sharing among members (e.g., Shop Talk and Mail Box)
- calendar of events
- short information pieces
- Photos
AVAILABILITY:
As a communication vehicle for members, the Leader will be provided to all members. As of Volume 31, it is an online publication.
