Duquesne University, Grove City College, The University of Pittsburgh, and
Westminster College would like to officially welcome the CCUMC family to
Pittsburgh for the 2015 CCUMC Conference. Our institutions have been working
together to make this year’s event a unique and rewarding experience for
everyone who attends.
Pittsburgh has a lot to be proud of, from our higher education institutions to our
sports teams to our vibrant cultural scene. Thinking of bringing your family? Visit
the Pittsburgh Zoo or the Carnegie Science Center, among many other options.
You’re a sports fan? How would you like to tour PNC Park, one of the most
beautiful ballparks in the world? For the art enthusiast we have the Andy Warhol
Museum, one of the Carnegie Museums, and a number of galleries to choose
from. There’s always plenty to do, see and experience in the Steel Town, and we
hope that everyone has an opportunity to get out and explore what Pittsburgh
has to offer.
That’s why, in the next few weeks, we’re going to be sending out guides that
cover various aspects of the Pittsburgh experience. We’ll start with broad
categories, like family fun and sports options, then move on to specific
neighborhoods and what they have to offer (as well as how to get there and,
perhaps more importantly, how to get back). While there’s plenty to do near the
Marriott City Center – Downtown has come a long way in the past few years –
that’s just the tip of the iceberg as far as the tourist experience goes. Hopefully
we can help make CCUMC 2015 a great time for everyone on the three rivers!
So keep posted, and we’ll see you in October!
