We know you’re busy, but we encourage you to make some time to get involved with CCUMC. Volunteers are the lifeblood of this organization. Regardless of how big or small the job may be, donating some of your time to us really goes a long way. As a volunteer, you will be able to directly impact the direction of the organization as we work together to accomplish strategic goals. There are a number of ways for you to get involved with CCUMC.
The following are descriptions of the volunteer positions that are currently available within CCUMC. If you are interested in volunteering, click hereto submit a volunteer form..
Need to get published, but don't feel confident in your writing skills? We have a great editing team who will work with you to ensure your information is ready to print. We have two different publications for you to provide content for:
College and University Media Review (CUMR)
CCUMC's professional peer reviewed journal. It is published annually. Content is more in-depth than the "Leader" content. Click here for more information about submitting content.
Time commitment: Length of time to create article, submit and work with editors to get it ready for publishing
CCUMC newsletter that contains organizational news and peer submitted articles on hot industry topics. It is published three times a year (fall, winter/spring, summer). The articles are considerably shorter than the "CUMR" content and can cover a variety of topics. If you are interested in publishing, contact the "Leader" Editor, Lindley Shedd.
Time commitment: Length of time to create article and submit (typically less than one week)
CCUMC is driven by our members. This committee helps determine strategies that include: increasing membership, reaching out to non-renewed members, promoting member benefits and creating membership marketing campaigns.
Time commitment: Committee members serve at least one two-year terms; committee meets (by phone) at least four-six times a year
