Charge:

To explore, develop, and present to the board a program of CCUMC recognition and awards for outstanding service: (a) to CCUMC, and (b) to the field in general; such services being measured against the objectives of CCUMC as written in the Constitution and Bylaws.

Responsibilities:

  • identifying guidelines and recommending criteria for awards categories, initiating and receiving nominations for specific awards, and recommending candidates to the CCUMC board;
  • coordinating all the necessary arrangements for securing needed plaques, certificates, etc.;
  • and identifying retiring past or current members who have made a significant contribution to the consortium and recommending that they be awarded life members.

Chaired by the Past President, with two other members appointed by the president for one-year terms.

Certificate of Appreciation Presented to members and non-members for service that generally falls within the normal scope of their duties. Non-automatic (requires board action) Certificate (mounted)
Special Service Award Presented to members and non-members for service that generally falls outside the normal expectations of their duties. For example, chairs of major task forces or editors of major publications. Normally given to members of the board at the close of their service to the board. Silver Reel Award  Outstanding contribution to the field of educational motion images, such as significant production, innovative image-handling equipment, significant legislation, research, educational and professional development, etc. Awards Committee receives nominations and makes recommendations to the board. Plaque with chromed reel and engraved citation
